Send in the Clowns
Those who know me know that I like learning about fish. I’ve had clownfish and a yellow tail damsel since 2011 and I dream of having a 75 gallon beauty one day. Instead of that, I had a 30 gallon hexagonal tank (a gift) which made cleaning a problem. I had to stand on a stool in order to reach deep into the dirty water to scrub the glass while trying to avoid bites from my feisty clownfish named Hannibal. Continue reading

This Would’ve Been a Story
I’ve never been one to post countless stories about myself. Some people are better at it and have more confidence in sharing every detail of their lives. I never felt comfortable about posting every single thing because 1) I’m pretty boring and 2) I’m sure people don’t care about my mundane activities.
But I used to share everything with my grandma. Many times she would ask me to tell her a story about my adventures with the kiddies at work or what cute thing my cat did. I would try to enact the entire story in a loud clear voice for her. And when she laughed, I did an internal victory dance. I loved making her laugh.
Lover of Words
When I was a kid, I opened a fortune cookie that had the most uplifting message for me: “You are a lover of words and will someday write a book.” I wish I wrote the date on it, but that little scrap of paper is pinned to my bulletin board to this day. A mantra in tiny red letters.
